Our Mission as Coaches

First and formost, our mission is to teach the game of soccer to our youth in a positive and fun way. Practices include Coerver technique, but mostly consist of small sided games.

We strive to give consistent coaching in a positive and fun way allowing players to think for themselves in the game of soccer. We coach with direction in mind, building on what we teach them practice, session, and year.

Children learn soccer by playing the game of soccer. We teach while they are playing the game. This keeps practices fun! We have had success with this approach.
I love soccer!  Do you?

Our mission as an organization

1. FC Fire Soccer Club is an organization that strives to teach children the sport of soccer in a competitive environment, learn sportsmanship, and the value of competition and teamwork. We are USSF, NSCAA and MYSA licensed coaches and follow their leadership.

2. We are here to have fun with the players, teach them to the best of our abilities in a positive environment, and encourage players' individual ideas in the game of soccer.

3. While here, please encourage your child to be themselves and perform to the best of their abilities. Do not put unnecessary pressure on them.

4. Primarily, we are looking for players who love the sport of soccer, are coachable, and have the desire to play and learn.

5. Parents and families of the players will be asked to participate in fundraisers, find sponsors, manage teams and help train at practices. All of this is an effort to keep costs at a minimum. Keep this in mind if you should receive an invitation to join one of our teams.

6. Currently, there are Pee Wee, U-6 Coed, U7 Coed, U-8 Coed, U-9 Boys, U-9 Girls, U-10 Girls, U10 Boys and U-11 girls teams for Fall 2010. There are plans in place to add other age groups next season, and to keep these teams together learning in an age appropriate environment until they reach the high school level.

7. We will practice twice a week. Players are required to attend practices and be on time with appropriate gear. Practice dates and times will be discussed after teams are set.

8. I want you to know that I have a completely open door policy with questions, concerns, criticisms, or suggestions. Please feel completely free to contact me, other coaches, or managers however you feel appropriate.
