FC Fire tries to offer a fun year round soccer program for local youth players. Our program highly focuses on individual ball skills and footwork, especially at the younger ages. Players are taught a myriad of soccer moves in practices and camps, and then encouraged to use them and be creative in games.
As coaches, we strive to teach them also to be creative in group play, letting them think for themselves, and offer guidance to solutions of soccer related problems that arise. We try to teach them the individual skills necessary for soccer success, and then offer a "let them play" approach. This keeps the game fun for them.
Our players currently come from Belton, Raymore, Peculiar, Grandview, Pleasant Hill and Blue Springs. Our teams play Spring and Fall outdoor seasons in KC Metroleague, Winter and Summer Futsal with Belton Parks and Recreation, and Goalkeeper specific training at various times throughout the year for those who enjoy playing the position. We try to enter each team in at least one tournament per season.
We also offer Camps designed to improve individual player in his or her stage of development in the offseason. These Camps are open to any players, not just those who play for FC Fire.
